Talking How I cut my Shapton...

...Noooo, it wasn't a Shapton Ceramic on Glass! It was my brand new Shapton Professional 1k hone. Got it this morning in the mail ($47 shipped) and proceeded to cut that baby in two! First I used my calipers and measured the width all along the hone. Divided that by two and scribed a line down the center. I used my metal cutting bandsaw for the cut. I'd have to say it dulls the hell out of the blade's teeth but the blade I had on the machine was what it came with- terrible blade. I had recently bought 3 new blades too- very good ones, so I didn't care about destroying this blade. The going was slow because of the dulling but it did the job with very little kerf. Afterwards I lapped the edges, top, and bottom enough to clean them .Anyway, here are some shots along with my previously cut Norton 4k/8k.
