Hi Folks,

my HAD is giving me an itch again.
I recently parted with my Shapton 16k.
My 16k gave me too little feedback
and I got scratches from it on my bevel and I donīt like that.
It might be only mine, but this problem occured even after lapping and cleaning.

I recently switched to the Naniwa System. I already owned a Super 8k and 10k and added the 1k, 2k and 5k. I am very happy with the results, both 8k and 10k give me the most consistant polish of all my stones.
The 10k gives great edges if used with Cr2O3,
but needs a bit refinement if used without.
It is good for a silent HHT on a hight of 0.5cm
I prefer edges that give at least 2cm silent HHT (or standing HT)
(note: this is what works for me, with my hair!)

I usually use the 10k to jump to a coticule, an esher type thuringian or my frankonian.
But none of those deliver a polish this consistant.
I think I need a synthetic pure high grit polishing stone.

Because the sweet 16 didnīt give me enough feedback (just pure glas)
I think the spyderco UF wonīt fit either.

So, the question is:
Do I want a Naniwa super 12k, even though I am about to get an adorable ultra j-nat?
I always read the 12k gives much feedback,
how is that possible for a 12k polishing stone?
What kind of feedback is that?

Did anybody compare the 10k and 12k super?
Hows the polish compared to the super 8k?
And, did anybody encounter scratching issues on the 12k?

Thanks in advance for making me scratch my HAD
