OLD_SCHOOL;508452]The question is, what did he use when testing. The large majority of people selling Japanese naturals as razor hones, are woodworkers and knife guys, who only test with their tools, and not with actual razors and a shave.
I'll ask him, whatever it was when I first got the hone the right lower corner from about the middle of the lower stamp, which is about where the inclusion is, to the corner and forward about 3/4 of the hone, which again is pretty much where the inclusion ends was wore down a good bit more than the rest. The right side of the lower stamp was almost wore from the inclusion on. It looked to me like the inclusion was dictating the wear of the stone but that didnt occur to me until I started using it to hone with. I was really enjoying the Jnat before I realized I had problems, I liked the feedback, it seemed to cut pretty good and the bevel was starting to polish nicely although I am very limited in experience.
