    Default The ugly Thuringian

I found this long forgotten 9-1/4" x 2" x 1-1/4" stone while going through some boxes. It appears to have once been longer but the ends were partially cut through and then broken off. One edge displays a course cross hatching but the opposite edge was drilled, lead filled, drilled again and tapped at the ends for mounting to something. It ocures to me I once had a 2" x 2" x X" stone that was similarly tapped for mounting but it was disposed of years ago. I only post this because the treatment is so unusual (and brutal). Ever seen anything like this? And please pardon my absence, I hope everyone's been well, Jeff
