So I went into my favorite antique shop the other day and low and behold the stone I was curious about the visit before was still there, so I scooped'r up. When i first looked at it, it was black and covered in oil, so I assumed it may be an old stone? Well whatever it was 16 bucks can't go wrong, plus it's in a nice wooden box (sticker is there but all the ink is wore off). After cleaning the stone with hot water and soap I found that it was not a black or grey stone at all but a really nice dark brown, almost slightly translucent with black swirls. It's smooth like glass and really puts a nice edge on a razor. Very thin and it makes sharpening my wedge a breeze.

I have no idea what it is, but I know it sharpens razors like a son ovagun.

I'm at work now but I'll post pictures when I get home.
