If the grit rating is the same which set of hones is more aggressive in removing metal? I have a couple old near wedge razors and have over 8 hours on just one of them at 1k for setting a bevel and it still is not there yet. I have read the other threads about using multiple pieces of tape and may try that as well but am thinking of getting a new bevel setting stone as I am currently using a King which I read was a slow cutter when I was looking but didn't think anything of it until now.
