Fair enough, but I maintain my assertion. To rephrase and clarify: so far, every time I used any labelled Escher on a good edge obtained with a Coticule, I thought the edge improved.
Incidentally, does the author of that text mean to imply that because of the very different nature of the sharpening particles in Coticules and chromiumoxide, or diamond spray, or ..., one cannot improve Coticule edges with chromiumoxide or diamond spray either? Or Charnley Forests? Or... ?
And what about stropping?
