Less than a honemeister here
But I have tried a transluscent Arkie w/ oil, and the edge was very pleasing, though it takes a LONG time to get it (in the 200 stroke range)

contact a honemeister and get at least one razor shave ready.

+1 on that. The Translucent Arkansas can be atricky stone to use, if you have a good one. Pinklather is correct they are slow "finishers" and tend to leave a "toothy" scratch pattern on the edge. Similar to the Turkish Oil stone. Not a bad thing, just different.
