Over the last year or two, I've accumulated quite a bit of change. (An interesting sidenote is that it's pretty much all from my trips to the post office, as the one I go to is on a college campus and does not accept debit cards.) About a week or so, I thought it was finally time to count it all up, roll it, and make it into real money. As it turns out, my total was $100.50.
With my new, and seemingly free, money, I purchased the Chosera 1k. It finally arrived today (a day late, because FedEx cannot drive from Chicago to Syracuse without incident, and I don't know why they drove PAST Rochester...).
I absolutely LOVE this hone. Unlike the SuperStones, it's hard, so it works well as a bevel setter. It produces just the faintest slurry on it's own when you use pressure, so it can really eat steel. It doesn't clog up with blackness. It's gentle on the razor. It also leaves a very very smooth bevel to work up off of. In short, this hone is fantastic, and I wish I'd just sucked it up and bought one sooner.
Now I find myself wanting more Choseras... and I know what I'm going to do with the next round of loose change I roll up.
