Home Made Naniwa Travel Combo Ideas?
I have this crazy idea of making a combination hone by gluing two Naniwa Superstones together and cutting the resulting monster into smaller sizes to put in a travel kit.
Don't ask me why, it's just an idea I can't seem to let go of.
So my question is, what would be the best grits to combine?
5K/10K?
8K/12K?
10K/12K?
I'm leaning toward the 5/10 because 5K gets down into some sharpening if remedial work needs doing. 10/12 seems like too much fineness. 8/12 could be nice.
Any opinions?
Don't try to talk me out of this--you might want to buy one of the offspring combinations once I do it!
