Thanked: 443This'd be a great hone to go with that 17" $16,000 razor that was in a thread a couple of weeks ago.
and another good candidate in this post.Last edited by roughkype; 08-18-2011 at 04:02 PM.

Thanked: 2209There are lengths of sandpaper used on belt sanders, 4 x 36, 6 x 48 , 24 x75 for the big "Time Saver" commercial sanders. I would get one of the big belts and cut it so that it is all one long strip. Then I would use WD40 as a lubricant so that the binder in the belt would not dissolve.
Hope this helps,Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin

Thanked: 2209I have some that go to 500 grit. FWIW, try trugrit.com and see what they have available. IIRC they will cut to order.
