This might very well be a dumb question. I just received my Naniwa 12k a few days ago, and I lapped it for the first time today with the Norton lapping plate. When I was done lapping however, I noticed that the top of the Naniwa had become slightly discolored with many small dots and it was no longer as silky smooth as when I received it. I'm wondering if the Norton lapping plate might have messed up the hone or something along those lines, and I'm also wondering what I should do about it?
