Hi all. first post, with a question..

First off, I'm not a straight razor user, or collecter. Many ( many), years ago, when I was young, I use to watch my Grandfather shave with a straight razor. He had some hone's, that I have now. When he died, the family members who sorted his stuff, tossed them in the trash, where I dug them out, as a young boy.

I used them for year's, on my hunting, and pocket knives. I haven't used them in about 30 years, but I still have them..

They are about 3"x5", one is reddish brown, and the other is white. they are very fine, and I don't think they are natural stone. They have a indented place on the end, and a stamped picture of an Indian, with a single feather, thumbing his nose.( I think that's what it is, as I don't have them with me right now, and I last looked at them about 15 years ago.)

I always thought they looked kinda "carnival" to tell the truth, however they will put a razor edge on a knife blade with ease.. I always used them as a finishing stone......They may not even be razor stones. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I will try to get some Pics., next time I'm home.. Sorry this was longwinded, I really would Appriciate any help..

Thanks. Caspar
