Thanks HNSB,
Do I have to lap a Coticule? Can I use it just like that is it a finishing stone?
Sorry for all the questions i searched the library but found very little info on coticules.

Yes, you should lap it to make sure it's flat. After that it will require very little lapping.
It is primarily a finishing stone, but with slurry it can do some of the work of the middle-grit stones.

what ever you do dont take the sticker off it will lose value ! and yes its a beautiful coti

One of the best available. About lapping. Check it first if it is flat and smooth no reason to lap it again.

I absolutely adore these old barbershop size (4x2 or 5x2.5) vintage coticules. My all-time favorites stones, hands down. Perfect in every way. Congratulations!

Can we see a pic of the cream side? I have never seen one with "Speckled" on the label.

Don't have a pic of it yet will take one the next time I go home.

This is a very nice finishing coticule. I have a Old Rock and it is very smooth. If you are going to use it to finish on I would never put a slurry stone on it. I have never used one on mine and it feels like a piece of glass. If you are going to leave the sticker on it I would clear coat it so that it stays like new.
