There are Japanese Naturals that run well into the $30K range for a standard stone 8" X 3" X 1.5 " thick in the 1-2 Kilogram range. Although I have only seen pictures of them they look perfect. J-Nats can certainly put a hole in the bank account.

Central Kyoto city developed about 1200 yrs ago.
Iyo is belong to igneous stones. Otherwise, the plates come from Honyama central Kyoto city are belong to slate.
Iyo is known as the oldest whetstone in Japan. It's just a Ancient Toishi!!
Iyo continued being mined by the Nakaoka clan in Iyo region.
Also, often times the very very rare stones were owned by very prominent people in Japan and that fact alone can send prices even higher.
I wonder if they have any provenence,Are these Jnats known stones, have any of the experts here ever heard of them?
If you're going to be spending that kind of coin the LEAST this dreamer could do is throw in free shipping!
