Hone ID please
I have this hone that I bought here at SRP and in my opinion it is the best finisher I have owned. I don't think it is Thuringian and it's not a JNAP or a chinese hone, I own a few of each so I have compared .I am leaning towards maybe Frankonian, possibly. It's no big deal really, just curious. The hone is a dark blue color( almost black) and is very hard and probably more than 12k grit, it slurries a light color but it is slow to slurry. Here are some pics for whoever would like to see and help out, thankshttp://straightrazorpalace.com/attac...ease-fran4.jpg for your time, Rudy.http://straightrazorpalace.com/attac...ease-fran2.jpghttp://straightrazorpalace.com/attac...ease-fran1.jpg

bummer i cann't see it what does it look like.

Could it be a translucent?

I'm surprised none of you Hone Masters recognized a Hard Klingon hone when you saw it.
These are common hones mined on Qo'noS.
They are extremely fast cutters.

That's the one - completely invisible in fact. Trouble is you have to swaddle it up in something - like the Invisible Man - before putting it away, or it's hard to find again...

At least you know that when you need to finish honing the edge. Once it comes from misty to invisible that is it.
