Glen, I read EVERY post you made about bevels. I just really wanted clarification to see if opinions have changed/new products have been created!
Thanks to everyone :)

I think I have tested virtually every synthetic bevel setter out there as well as some of the Naturals and if consistency, reliability and results are what matter to you, I would still recommend the Naniwa Chosera. For most people, it is the only bevel setter you will ever need and last a lifetime.
Have fun.
Sigma select II 1.2k (not the 1k). I guess I'll buy one of those. I'll leave the ultra ceramic naniwas for the next time.
I like my naniwa ss 1k, it gives good feedback, and leaves a nice edge. If it weren't for the fact that I got it for $20, and it was brand new; I honestly would have gotten the Chocera. Like I said I really enjoy my SS, but it can get somewhat slow on the harder steels; thus why I want a chocera to go w/ it.
The 1k dishes too much. It is really fast for new and old steels but you don't enjoy honing because of dishing. The 1.2k is much much better. Generally, the 1k is the second most important stone for razors. Maybe even the first. It is not that great for old microtomes (without tape) and other instruments that require much steel to be removed without spending time and stone.
