Regal Double Grit Barber Razor Hone

Dear Fellow Razorheads. Just won this off of Ebay and it looks barely used, with a bevel edge and a finishing edge.I purposely bought an inexpensive razor just to see how sharp I could get it using this hone. Directions are just what's on the side of the box and this hone is to be used dry. Should I try using this, along with my Chromium Oxide paddle hone and leather paddle strop or leather/felt flexible strop when I feel the razor starting to tug? Thanx for any feedback -Gearhead222

Thats exactly what barbers hones are made for maintain an edge, make sure the hone is clean before proceding.

I have a few diff finishing hones, but one thing I do not have is a good Barber Hone. As of right now I have been doing touchups on my Coticule, but My HAD says that I need to get my hands on one soon!!

Feel very lucky! Hope that I can get by with this, my Chromium Oxide Balsa Strop and leather paddle strop. Will try to make shave ready a less $ razor and if that goes well, then MAYBE I'll try one of my nicer blades if one of them eventually goes dull or needs serious stropping
