    Default lapping Sigma 13K

    Hi, I'm planning on purchasing a Sigma Power 13K hone. I currently lap my other hones with my Norton 1K and I'm wondering if it'll do the job on the Sigma as well, or if I have to buy a diamond plate? Thanks in advance.

    It will work fine. It's not really a soft stone and not really a hard stone, it's in the middle. The 1k should condition it fine, just keep after it and rinse off the swarf when you're done.

    It's a lovely very fine abrasive hone.
