Hello gents,

First off, I want to apologize if my question offends anyone because it might be a stupid one but I was wondering if the DMT 325 (8 inch) is a good lapping stone for my 800,1200 and 6K King stones?

You see, before I started straight shaving I did a lot of knife sharpening with these and I would like to practice with some old straights (that I bought from a thrift store) before I make the move to purchase a Norton 4K/8K combo exclusively for my straight razors. Are there certain grits on water stones that require a certain grit on a diamond stone for lapping or is the DMT 325 pretty good with all grits on a King/Norton? Thanks in advance gents!
