Or is this "-No need to panic, I'm only microwaving my Nortons!"
I wasn't sure what would happen so I gave this a try. First I brought my microwave into the dessert and hooked it up to a gasoline generator. I used a radio controlled remote starter that I rigged to the microwave, walked 10 miles and started taping. Here's what happened next: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4R8lAjVzj0
WOW!!!
them Nortons pack a punch.....
chuck the stones in a box of dry sawdust. mix well. let sit and stir every few days till dry.
I think I'm just lazy, I keep my nortons in the bucket with clean water all the time.
My C12K gets dried and put away in the cabinet :)

I just dry mine with a load of clothes in the dryer.:p
No, but seriously, as I live in the humid South, an out of the way heater vent usually suffices. I once put mine away when I was sure they were dry (they weren't!), and they got serious mold/discoloration. Nothing a good lapping and a REAL drying couldn't fix, but unsightly at minimum.
I sometimes envy our Western and desert dwelling brothers when I want to paint or stain something, dry something, or air out water-hones. But then again, they're dealing with this historic drought, wildfires, etc., so maybe not.
Good luck with the microwave.:gl:
You guys are terrible. OP, I don't do squat with my nortons. After I use them, I put them back in the boxes and leave them set on my bench. I haven't had a bit of trouble doing this.
