Microwaving the Nortons
I know that it may sound stupid but I am thinking of putting my Nortons in the microwave.
I used the stones yesterday and I want to store them in the drawer but they are still wet inside and I may have to wait for days until they are completely dry
Putting them in the microwave for a couple of minutes will dry them fast.
Could that cause any damage to the stones?

Oh my, that sounds like a very bad idea.
Getting the water trapped inside the stone boiling cannot be good for the stone...
No, I think I would leave it out until fully dried, the heck with how that makes your bench or table lookBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

You'd want to slowly heat it. You could try an oven on a really low setting, or just set it in a warm sunny spot.
I would recommend just finding some non-enclosed place to store them so you don't have to worry about drying them.

I think that if you put the Microwave setting on high for five minutes you'll wind up with a 30K Shapton.

I'm thinking you're most likely to end up with a bunch of little Nortons.
And possibly a new microwave.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Don't do it. But if you do, take a video.
One time, in band camp, I shaved with a Gold Dollar razor.
