any one ever heard of rasiermesserstien apart hones are they good quality will they produce a satin edge?
Probably not that one will produce a nice edge, its all chipped, and dirty, will need a very good lapping job.Quote:

Yes the Aparts are very good hones I have had several go through my hands Lap it clean, and give it a try, I found the ones I had to have a nice velvety action while honing
Good shaving edges too

sorry glen didnt realize you guys on here think all caps is yelling.i type with it on every where esle.this is the only sight ive been on that considers it yelling.i wasnt trying to b rude,or asking about the condition of the hone .i know it has to be lapped ,and am prepared for that.i was simply asking about the hones in general. apologies if i hurt someones feelin.lol
seems like your average barber hone to me, just with german instructions... search "barber hone" and read till your hearts content.
They were made in the same city (village?) in Austria as the Swaty hones were made. Conjecture is that one company made both hones.
