I own a bester 1200, and a king 4000. Right now I have a dovo that was sharpened by Lynn. I have a SRD strop and a leather paddle strop loaded with hand American 0.5 micron paste. I use the pasted strop maybe once a month for about 10 strokes per side to refresh the edge.
Would I eventually need a stone to touch up my edge?
if so what would be a good inexpensive stone?
Would one stone be good to bridge the gap from my 4k to my pasted strop?

I don't have any experience with a Bester stone and the King 1K I have I use for knives. My personal choice on synthetic stones is Chosera 1K followed by a Shapton GS progression. This is my personal preference after using the "big 3" (Naniwa, Norton, Shapton) synthetics, they all are good.

If you're just looking for a stone to touch up the already shave ready razor you have, a lot of the crew around here use a stone such as the Naniwa 12k for refreshing edges.

The 8k will give a very good edge and shave. I do use the 12k naniwa or 1 micron diamond film(14k equivalent) after for a smoother IMO shave.

If you already have the King 4k, a King 8k would be logical.
