Anyone else use this as an comfort or am i strange?

Well, if it is I'm strange too.
I love honing. I've gotten to a point where my blades are
all where I want them to be, and I feel like tapping one on
the faucet just so I can rehone it.
I guess I have to start a new hobby.
I find honing very relaxing.
There is something about it that is quite soothing....
Honing a razor in a hospital waiting room? Does anybody look at you funny?
Me too. Great for calming the mind.
Hehe, the hospital were full, so dad's were sent home... Honing at hospital = jail in this country atleast:)Quote:

My wife says that I look nefarious when I hone, there is always a little smile on my face and I take slow deliberate strokes. When you know you have hit the edge evenly it is a very satisfying feeling.
You obviously need more razors to work on....hehehe
