All,

As I continue to experiment, I've pretty much left my most expensive razor (Bergischer Lowe) in the the box. Today I broke it out and ran it like 6 laps across the 8k and 40 across the CNAT (never really liked the shave off the edge anyway and I figured I couldn't hurt the edge too much on the CNAT).

I quickly noticed the water on the stones was being pushed...wouldn't flow over the top of the razor at all.

I've read a lot about watching water patterns and I usually look for the water to uniformly flow over the razor.

Two questions...

1) am I looking for the right thing with respect to water flow?

2) guessing the water signs on the Lowe suggest it's dull...true statement?
