Just wondering where the cheapest place to pick one up might be along with a lapping stone if I need one?
When I was shopping after new year's, several vendors were out of stock on the 4k/8k i sought.
If 119.85 shipped is cheap for a lap stone, a 220/1k and 4k/8k with cases, try:

I saw this deal when I was looking just a newbie that thought you guys might have the inside line on the best place to pick one up might be. I picked up a couple of nice looking razors at a flea market here in WV this past weekend and gave them a couple quick passes on my finest grit stone i use for my knife which is around 2k i think. Just excited to finish putting an edge one them. I tried shaving after the knife stone and some stropping on a nice soft smooth leather belt but it was brutal and somewhat of a bloodletting. I guess I should have been more patient.:w

I have the Norton stones in stock and at some of the best prices around. I carry the 4k/8k, the 1k/4k, and the Flattening Stone.
So when I pick up this norton. Do i need to get the flattening stone? What do I need in conjunction with the hone as far as strops? Should I just order a 2 sided bench strop and a hanging strop? What would you recommend to the newbie. Thanks
Kees,
I sell Norton 4k/8ks for $62 and the flattening stone for $25. Check out my website as it is changed and is now more... populated.
Hey Howard, do you know if it is possible to get just a 1k Norton? I already have a 4-8k and so I dont really need another 4k hone.
