The edge appears light on the heel and heavy on the toe? Maybe the photo is making it appear that way.

No Dash, your right. I can get the front 3/4's super sharp and the heel is dull on one side. I've tried rocking the blade but it doesnt seem to be working. I might send it off and let a pro handle it.
Locally for me honing is $25 as long as the blade is in good condition. I don't know if reworking a blade like yours would be more.
If you don't have much money tied up into it or the razor has no sentimental value. You may just want to take the risk and try to rework it yourself.
Success, I hope. It took a while after getting mad and walking away from it but I think I did it. I'll test shave it tomorrow. If it passes I'll jump up to the naniwa 12k

Walking away sometimes is the best thing you can do. This shows your smarter than I was when learning to hone.
Lol, yeah there were a few times that razor was going to learn to fly.
Well I shaves with that razor and it was ehhh. I decided needed a refresher course in honing, so I broke out Lynn's DVD on all things straight razors. I noticed he kept saying little to no pressure and he used one hand. I used almost no pressure and two hands. Well I decided to do it Lynn's way and.......... I hate to say it but he was right. That sucker is sharp and shaves like a dream. I now own a SHARP Wade and Butcher razor. All hail Lynn!!!!!
