Not a good razor to practice on. If you have the experience then ok but if not send it out to a pro.
Beautiful btw
That's a stunner for sure, congratulations :)
Now that is a drop dead gorgeous razor, congrats.

Thank you. I think I am really going to like it. I have another Dorko that is a 7/8ths that shaves very well. I saw this one and couldn't pass it up. This one is a 6/8th.
I see a very small and shiny bevel on it. Very nice choice.
I've spoken to that seller many times, I would say looking at the razor try stropping the razor I bet it's ready to rock & roll.
Honing report:
Thuringian with slurry
Thuringian with water
Balsa wood with chromium oxide
Strop on felt then leather
Passed HHT!
Can't wait to shave with it. Will give it a try later this afternoon.
The shave "test" is the only test that matters. Don't get hung up on the HHT, it is not as accurate as you are led to believe.
Generally, when I have honed a razor either beginning with resetting the bevel or just freshening one up, if it passes the hht it most likely shaves well. I have had it work the other way where it would not pass the test but seemed to shave fine. At any rate, if I have missed the mark I will try another strategy.
