Bevel Wierdness!

So I get this little Filar in the mail the other day, and pull out the stones to get her ready for use:




I lap the crap out of my new Chosera 1K as it was brand new. Did the grid pattern and all that to make sure I was flat.

Now, it takes 3 layers of tape to get this bevel going with the way I am happy with it, but do get a nice bevel. I take her to 5K SS and after a few circles, I see a spot where it looks like the bevel has jumped up a couple of mm in one spot in the center of the blade.

Here it is at 30x.





I was only using light pressure at the time to torque the heal.

Any idea what has happened here?
