because of all the back and forth on this, I think that the temper may had been lost, although from what he describes it sounds that that would be unlikely, but do not know how vigorous his motions are on the stones

i am not sure if this belows to DMT, i've started with an non DMT but as i did not get the bevel i checked on DMT. unless if the person who had it before me, he passed this blade on a diamond plate.
but i will try to remove the infected edge when i get it back. but do you think if that could really work? as i remember at least 2 mm of scracths were present upside of the edge, i remove all of this part, it will be a 5/8
You only need to remove at most 1/4 of the bevel. Start with an 1/8 of the bevel and see if it will hold an edge.
1/8 of the bevel, not 1/8 of an inch maybe a 32nd of an inch, but use a known 1k stone, Wet & Dry sandpaper or 15um film.
If the steel is hard and you use a diamond plate, there is a good chance of chipping at finish.
The other issue is your stones, you need a known good 1k stone.
Thanks Euclid. I,will try same as your tutorial when I get back the razor. Just for say, I was already erased the edge for once with holding the blade 90 degree and restarted to recreate the, bevel. But I think I can retry this once more time as looking in your tutorial.
By the way, I did not make attention to your pseudo, are you mathematician? :d
Actually im looking for a link which was posted on this thread but I think it's deleted lately. There was many way to repair a blade for multiple cases (frown, nor in line etc) with pictures and videos. I'm looked in library of the SRP but I cannot find it. I found the guide was very clear and detailed so I'm looking for it and I can't find. Someone knows its link and may share it please? Thanks in advance :)
i found by google; that was this; Honing: Troubleshooting Guide - Straight Razor Place Library
i don't know why i did not find this while looking in SRP library.
