Although this should be in the hones section as it pertains to the hone and not using it. No big deal :) it looks like a silicon carbide stone to me. That's just a guess though.
I'm only viewing on a mobile phone, so not the best picture quality, but it has indications of being a Washita IMO.
I was thinking washita also, better pictures of front and back and end would help identify.
I recently lapped it and it is a very low density stone. I'll post pictures of the front and back when I get off work today.Quote:
