Cape 2000, refreshed the edge with a new jnat - and I’m really liking the edge that this stone makes, just a super smooth shaving edge. Progression was 4k Shapton Glass HR to flatten the bevels, 6k Shapton Glass HC, then the jnat on thin slurry. Perfection.

The versatility of a Belgian Coticule.
A woodworking project I am currently knee deep in is requiring a keen and durable edge from this Lie Nielsen bench chisel. Bevel set on a 1K Norton and then on to finish on this La Dressante.
Not just for razors!
A very nice batch of 5 razors in today, 2 Korrat 1 TI 1 Damascus Boker and a lovely Sheffield wedge in superb condition, very straight forward no issues always a pleasure to have such an easy batch all from the same owner.

I've only been straight shaving for about 5 months, but have benefited greatly from my son's guidance in the honing dept. He’s been a straight shaver for two decades and is an amateur bladesmith with his own forge. He had two Damascus razors made for me for Father’s Day, but both were in need of honing. This one happens to be my favorite because of the decorative filework on the spine. After setting the bevel on my son’s 1000k Shapton, it took six successively diluted slurries on my jasper stone and finishing on a 0.25 micron diamond sprayed felted bench strop to produce an amazing buttery smooth mirror edge for this mornings shave.

Just the 1k chosera today. My first fili came in and just wanted to make sure she would take a clean bevel. Few swipes on the stone and both sides of the bevel look good, going to put some ballistol oil on it and clean it up this weekend.
