I'm pretty certain that this used to be Andre the Giant's personal hone.

Yeah, she's kinda awkward for hand honing lol! I love the almost decadent luxury of the real estate on it, though. And I can leave it on the coffee table with a can of WD-40 nearby, and just do almost mindless laps once I get how to rock an edge to keep the wave going.
Also, Outback Mike, that is a beautiful razor!
Set a new bevel with my chosera 1k followed by veinette coticule on my new Max Dorner #15 in 8/8. Smooth sailing!

Playing around with one of my personal Tosuke Kamisori today
Trying a Naniwa SS 12k with a light slurry to see how close I can get to a J-nat edge feel
Basically using all the tricks I would use on a J-nat using the 12k to see how far I can push it

Hone On !!!
Refreshed my ivory Joseph Rodgers frameback on ‘big ugly’, a deep layer Nakayama koppa from Alex G., very, very, fine and very, very, ugly, lol. But the edges that it makes are beautiful.
Had the pleasure of honing these three well cared razors for a local srp member yesterday.
I used his coticule, a beautiful and very capable stone. It’s a luxury to use a wide coticule such as this one.
I had never handled a rigarazor before and was quite impressed with the fit and finish of this razor. It’s a heavy and imposing blade and the horn scales are very nicely crafted. The bevel was small and uniform, something I don’t often see on custom wedges.
For my tastes, the Le Grelot was my favourite of the three.
