Here’s a better look at mine. It’s a nice big bench stone, which I acquired with knives in mind. A friend of mine was kind enough to offer this Hakka to me earlier this year. It is my first and only if its kind and I’m very proud to have it.
Worked between these 2 very different looking, but similarly performing Nakayamas. Quick and basic touch-ups for all.

Hana Tonbo 333 show-side scale has kanji engraved by a previous owner
Wade & Butcher 6/8 1/2 hollow, requires some considerable honing acrobatics. A real test of patience and skill.

King Pelican #14. Steel as hard as nails!
I am really digging this Shobu... I started off with a Nakayama, and it wasn't cutting very fast at all, so I switched to the Shobu. It seems to work like a charm every time! <knocks on wood>

This almost daily honing is starting to get to my back! Ouch...
Today was once again a Nakayama not cutting day, but the Shobu shined once again.
Kama 23. Scales are pretty, but they are thick!

And yes, that is a worked/decorative spine. Never seen that before on a Kama, so I am assuming whoever made it into a shorty also did the spine work.

I have a bunch of razors that need refreshing. Today, the finisher is my Escher/Thuringian.
Tomorrow I'm giving the Arkansas a spin.

I talked about this one in the What Are You Working On thread. I didn't do much to it, just a little polishing.
It honed up really well and it shaves great. I got lucky with this one. No spine wear, tiny even bevel. I had been thinking about taking it apart and really cleaning it up, but I'll leave it alone. Sometimes a good shave is good enough.

...and here's a Turner's Everlasting on the Arkansas. Every time I pick this razor up, I get the sense that the steel is fairly hard. Not sure why.
It does get sharp! I'll give it a test run tomorrow.

Finally finished this batch of 28 razors, 3 day process. All Gold Dollar or Gold Monkey, various models including a new one I really don't care for because of the massively heavy scales, sent to me as a sample. Some in this batch were started on the Shapton 120, some on the Cerax or the Kuromoku 320, the rest on the Chosera 600. These razors, you just don't start on a 1k. Progression through 1k Chosera, 3k, 8k, 12k Naniwa SS. This batch all honed on rocks with a 3 stage pasted balsa finish. Finally I am caught up a little unless there is a run on one specific model. Now I got all these rocks to lap again for the next batch.
