    Default hones on ebay

Are any of these hones worth a look as a hone to keep an edge on a razor with?

I think they all "look" good. It's always hard to tell with ebay. Ideally I think a hone is something you should be able to pick up and feel to really know it's condition. But on the other hand there are ways to fix a hone with minor wear although I don't see any in the pics.

Any one of them in good condition should be able to put a perfectly good edge on a razor. It's really dependent on the skill of the person doing the honing more so than the hone itself.

Carborundum is generally a fast cutting hone and best for more experienced honers. The reddish Swatys are more likely slower hones and better for a less experienced honer. Not sure about the "Diamond" Swaty.
