Also check for frown by holding it edge down on a known flat hone and check for light coming through between two contact points. I've seen a few factory fresh razors with frowns in the last few years

Thank you for doing the photos that I requested. As I suspected, the stabilizer had no role in the problems with this razor.
Looks like you're hitting everything now. Time to take it to the 4K or 1k and get that bevel set. Don't forget that the tape will wear down so it needs to be replaced periodically.
