Doing my two pass shave with my Aust 7/8 Spanish tip horn and thinking about why I ever shave with anything else as the edge was so good. I refreshed it about two weeks ago with an 8 and 12k Nani Super Stone and the edge was just absolutely fantastic, it had almost a mystical shaving ability.
Right about then, something happened and so quickly I don't know what my hand bumped into but the razor was falling and dropping towards the floor. Somehow my instincts kept me from grabbing the razor as it was falling toward it's death on the tile floor. Even with my hearing aids out, the sound of it clattering on the floor was absolutely deafening.
Quick inspection and no visible chips, finished the shave but it will have to be redone. Not sure how low it will have to go until I look at it with the loop.
Two and a half years of straight razor shaving and this is the first drop.
Maybe I should just call in sick today, due to metal anguish.
