Honing a stainless steel blade
Hi everyone. I have a questions about the changes in technique you use for Stainless blades. I honed my first last night and I found setting the bevel to be very difficult. The steel was so much harder than regular carbon steel that I found I had to use significantly more pressure to get a scratch pattern from my chosera 1K.
Are there any specific tips or tricks used on stainless blades to get a good bevel without excessive pressure? Any help is appreciated, as always!
