Default Honing service on East Coast

    Hello everyone,
After some time with a Merkur safety razor, I recently purchased two Dovo 6/8 Full Hollow ground razors and 3 inch Latigo strop. After some reading on the forum, I am coming to two conclusions:

-I love the ritual of shaving with the SR, but I have much to learn about stropping, not to mention honing.
-I am barely at the edge of this rabbit hole

With that being said, I want to establish a baseline and get a feel what a perfectly sharpened SR feels like. Can I please have some recommendations for well established members who provide proper honing service.

    Thank you in advance
    Michal

See if you get any closer if you want to drive it there but if you mail it what is a state or two or three! It isnsn't much if any difference.

    Hi folks,

Well, after several years away from the forum, I find myself in need of advice. Specifically, I'm hoping to find experienced honemeisters in the Raleigh-Durham area of NC. I've never been able to successfully hone a razor myself. I have a set of Naniwas, have watched all the videos it seemed to make sense to watch, and . . . . no luck. If you're adept at honing and offer this service to others, I'd like to hear from you.

    Many thanks,

    Durhampiper
