Mark the bevel and hone for 5-10 strokes and check whether the marks are gone from the full length of the bevel on either side. If so: do your pyramids, if not continue on the 6000 or even lower grit hone till the bevel will pass the bevel marking test.
That's how I do it. You can use a mike and diagnose the problem but eventually you'll have to do the above to get the razor sorted.
thanks....how appear under microscope ? the black part should be to the same thickness along the entire blade?
What black part? Tim Zowadi posted a number of pictures here of edges under the mike. Look at those and hope your bevel looks identical!Quote:

Or do you mean... the bevel is uneven...wide in some places and narrow in others?
yes! the final part of the blade that i see under a microscope as BLACK seems to be that not have the same thickness ....
