    Default 4 line swaty...

I have a chance to buy this hone. They want about 25 dollars for it. Any kind of razor related stuff is a myth in Croatia... I'd find an unicorn quicker than a razor related item in useable condition.
What could you tell me about this hone, is it a finisher, a touch upper, is it a 3, 4 line swaty or what...
    Anything really.

I already have a coticule combo, so do I really need this or are they (the coticule and the swaty) similar in results?

I don't recall seeing a four line before. I have a three line and I suspect that whether two, three, or four lines they are the same. I see most guys rate them as a 12k. When all I had was a Norton 4/8 I used the Swaty as a finisher and it was alright. It did polish the edge.

Barbers used them to touch up an edge. The barber I got mine from twenty + years ago would keep one in the pocket of his smock and if a razor needed a touch up during or after a shave he would use it dry. He stressed to me when he gave me a spare he had to only do three or four strokes.

I used it with water just as you would use any finishing stone with as many strokes as I thought I needed. I have a few of them now and I have yet to see one that came flat. They are tough to lap but they are a pretty cool thing to have if you are a hone freak like me.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    Default 4 line

This stone made IN Jugaslavia that is why it has 4 lines.they all same except if stone really says three line swaty .
let me explain a little better. My understanding how many lines in stone doesn't mean anything they all same. But in stone it says written three line stone is different.check this pictures.

So, do I need it after the coticule or not? Also, is the price ok? Maybe I'm better off buying a chinese 12k?

Depending on how your coticule (and the razor in question) behaves, you may or may not need something else after. I find that I can shave right off my coticule with most razors while others prefer the Swaty or ChromeOx. I say it depends on your coticule because they are natural stones, and no two will put the same edge on a razor.
