    i ****ing love my naniwas. since i used the 5000 grit and 8000 grit stones i went :

    5000grit 8000grit
    7 10
    5 5
    3 5
    1 3

    and i passes the hht

    im not saying this will work for you, i was just putzing around.

    i wonder if i got a 3000grit stone i could do something like

    3000 5000 8000
    2 5 10
    1 3 10

    and call it a day. maybe im over honing but its fun hahaha!

    Default do you fellas use your hones to remove scratches on blades?

    i read once some guys use their hones and go in circulr motions to remove scratches....do you fellas use your hones to remove scratches on blades?

    Your talking about within the bevel right ? I don't worry about that. I do the pyramid and the TPT. When I feel it is right I strop and shave.

    The only time I use circles is in setting a bevel on a razor that needs that approach. Glad you like your new hones.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
