Default Naniwa Super Stone Combination 8k/3k

any ideas how the super stone combo would work

I know lynn and don give good reviews of the single grits but i came across these...thought the 3k/8k would be a nice alternative to the norton 4k/8k

    i was wondering the same,
maybe Lynn can chime in and tell us how it compares to a norton 4k/8k.

Didn't know they were making the combination stones yet.

The 3K/8K combination would be very close to the Norton 4K/8K combo. I normally use the 5K and the 8K Superstone following the 1K, but do use the 3K and 8K when working on ebay specials. Many times I will subsitute the the 3 for the 5 and many times I will use them both. Really depends on the razor I am working on. This would really come down the the preference(s) you develop when working with the stones and your own razors.

Actually I just saw an 800/5K combo and have inquired with the mfg for info on all their combination stones.

    Have fun,

    Lynn

I really like both the 3k and the 5k. I would be hard pressed to choose only one.
