So I'm about to put in an order for a D8X and I realize I don't get free shipping. But...I don't have anything else to buy. Except that Shapton 16k... Shouldn't have bought that d6f off of amazon. That would have put me over the top. :gaah:

Dont buy it,Dont buy it,Dont buy it:shrug: Are you convinced?:hmmm:
Maybe. As long as someone doesn't say anything good about the 16k I think I'm safe. I'll just spend the extra $5 for shipping. wtf, I'm trying to spend $30 to save $5.... :gaah:
edit: Placed my order with amazon and the difference was $2.71
:gaah::gaah::gaah::gaah::gaah::gaah:
These tests are killing my brain!!!!!!
It is called a Shapton SWEET 16 for a reason....
Nuff said????
for the $99 price tag I honestly don't think it can be beat, as a finisher...
even if you go higher it would be tuff to beat
That of course is JMHO but I am allowed to have my opinion hehehe
Probably not. :( I'm going to break down and buy one eventually.
Just not tonight! :D
Btw, can it be used dry? Or is that just silly? And how heavy is it? Can I hold it in my hand easily?
if you buy it I'm going to hit you :nono:
hard :mace:
It is the one stone that threw me over the edge for a durable edge. I go to the 16K and paste down to 0.25 and then to 0.5 Chromium. My edges last so much longer now. It just makes your edge so stable.
How did I do?:D
R
It isn't heavy and you can hold it in your hand to hone if that is your preference. If I was honing razors for other people I would definitely want to have one. Give me a bit of an edge on the competition if they don't have one. Pun intended.:)
I guess you have to be an old guy to know "sweet sixteen". :D
