It certainly depends on the starting point and the hardness of the steel, but I think you are looking at a lot more than 100 strokes on a 4k. Of course, you can speed it up with some pressure (only if you are able to keep it even across the blade) and/or some alternative strokes like clrcle strokes or Japanese strokes.
