I'd be interested to see how this performs against the diamond and aluminum oxide films I've been using.
When my last set of diamond films were worn out, I decided to try the aluminum oxide as a cheaper alternative down to .3 micron. I can say they put a scary sharp, mirror polished edge on anything. I've not met a razor that the film can't whip into shape.
I get mine from thor labs and for $30, I got 10 full sheets (13"x9") of 3, 1 and .3 micron films. I still use 6 micron diamond film to set the bevel, but that isn't hardly needed. They are all very fast cutters.
