I have a DMT8XXC that was used for extreme detail and had lapped several spyderco stones. I know others may have done the same. It is still in great shape. The spydercos are so hard that the nickel was still shiny like new and just about all of the diamonds look normal and present.
Here is my observation on how it works for lapping other stones like nortons even the 8000. It leaves them very smooth, even smoother than my previous lapper which was the 8XC. Has anyone had any experience with the 8XXC after spyderco lapping and found similar. I have nothing to compare cause the spydercos were the stones first job and was hoping someone had a before and after story to complete my observation.
