damascus razor realy these are exallantly made
Glad to hear it. Now which ones were these?
Im tying to put a picture up but just carn't
This is the 7/8 abalone shell bergam carbon damask. It is very large but has amazing patternon the blade and after watching the dvd of mastro making these razors i can see why they cost so much but they are worth it.
I bought a similar razor in June.
But I've never used it. I've not touched it. I've not even seen it in real life.
I persuaded my wife that this was the 40th birthday present I wanted. She said fine, but on one condition: I do not see it until my birthday.:deal: So now I'm still going through the 7-month wait.
Seeing your bergamo damask blade Gary is killing me even more!!:gth
I restrict my SRP surfing to general, newbie, and honing, and I AVOID the razor subforum lest I be tempted (again... I already have 1 Livi).... gee, thanks Gary...
But seriously, beautiful razor!

Wow! very nice.I think I'm liking big blades. They are easier to use than small ones.Nice box too :tu enjoy.
Great razors Gary and majurey. I've got one too and it is outstanding to shave with or to just admire.
I see your blade is exactly the same as mine they sure are big razors i had my first shave with it this morning. Great shave the extra weight is better i find fir a big razor they are well balanced the steel must make a differance this will be my number one shaver i am selling quite athew of other razors i'm forty in 4 years i will have another btw i like your scales.
Lol the first post was funny.
To say it's an awesome looking razor is understatement. It's mighty exotic to say the least.
Gary, is it a making of his razors in general or is it razor specific as in you bought Damascus razor and therefore you will be treated to the "making of Damascus razor"?
BTW how's the weight of razor?
Thanks,
Ivan
When you buy a mastro livi you get a dvd and it shows lynn along side livi him self making the blade and scales.
As you no they are alot of money but after watching livi make this razor and the skill he has its all done by hand you can understand why they cost so much.
I own alot of razors from new dovo , ti's restore's etc. I always liked that particular razor i have purchased. But the weight is realy nice weight and is realy well blanced and easy to shave with one swipe and the whole side of my face is done the razor realy glides through my thick beard it must be the quality of steel that makes it such an easy shave . My mate is into straights he tryed it now he wants one. You should get one you won't regret it i don't infact i'm selling most of my other razors and i will be buy one more.
Gary
When I break down and buy a Levi, the Takeda/Levi will be the one to get me killed...
I love looking at the ones you all post and his craftmenship, I just can't justify the $$$ at this time...
I was like your self i though what 800 euros but now i have it the shave to me is a cut above don't get me wrong all razors can shave as well i have double duck and some good dovos and good old shefield steels but the livis just differant.
No worries Gary!
