Touched up my Revisor last night. Progression was:

Honed an Issard 669 frameback, a W&B 6/8 half hollow square point, a W&B 5/8 wedge barber's notch, and two orphans, one half hollow and one wedge.
Progression is Naniwa 1k, 3k, chinese guanxi stones 5k and 8k, a c12k followed by a stropping. Also got a 600 grit that I only pull out if they are pancake flat and need a lot of metal removed to get the edge started - one of the W&B's needed an appointment with it.
I haven't honed any of my own razors in quite a while and don't feel right about posting razors I honed for others w/o their permission. There hasn't been any posts to this thread in a month so I thought I would bump it to see who's been up to what. So, what have you honed recently and what hones did you use? Have you obtained any new hones and what do you think of their performance? Inquiring minds want to know.
I just finished the following
Filarmonica 13 DT
Herder
J. Holler
Higgins smiler ( first one of those I have tried )
there are 2 others that I can't think of the name of them currently since I am at work.
I honed my W&B Celebrated lastnight. Naniwa 1K, Taidea 5K & 8K, Naniwa 12K and yes, 25 X strokes on "The People's Hone." It maybe overkill but it really works for me. Feo, CrOx and 100 webbed cotton/100 English Bridle.
Last night i honed up my Fili 14 and a Globusman. Shaved with the Fili this am. Set the bevel on my norton then used a coti for the rest.
Just finished my SRP TI and should go use it tonight :)
Today I FINALLY honed my DePews that Max restored and my Mappin Lancet Edge. I also did a pair of Solgen's for TheHeckler that CannonFodder rescaled.
Naniwa Chosera 1k
Naniwa SS 5k and 8k
Thurry and Asagi for finishers
Tonight I honed an F.A. Koch & Co (Solingen) Cyclone razor.
I set the bevel on a naniwa 2k which took longer than I would have liked. I then used a Botan, Tenjou, Koma, Honzan slurry progression on my Takashima Kiita, finishing with just water. This is the third razor I have honed using this method and the previous two were smooooooth!
Prior to that, I honed a Clauss Everreddy razor.
I set the bevel on my naniwa 2k. Then used a modified "dilucot" method on my coticule with 5 dilutions. Then moved over to the Takashima Kiita with Honzan slurry with 5 dilutions finishing on water. This edge was one of the smoothest I have shaved with, but I like playing with my new naguras right now so I haven't gone back to it yet.
Honing is fun!
I just finished honing my Manaslu M-55 (#1190). I got the razor NOS, and had previously honed it on a Norton 4k/8k and finished it on my Iwasaki Select Nakayama. This time, I used my new Oozuku and a nagura progression. I started with a botan slurry which I refreshed once as it started to darken. I then followed the same progression through meijiro, koma, and honzan. I finished with water only. We'll see how she shaves!
Just put the finishing touches on a "T. W. Percival" Warented Sheffield. Classic late 1800's styling that may or may not be a keeper, more grind than I like but it feels stiff so we shall see. I diddn't bother with a Cro2 strop as I usually do as I want to see if I can shave off the asagi with it, Edge looks very clean so far...
Just finished a 5/8 hollow with barber notch Torrey. Set the bevel with 1k nani, then 5k 8k 12k. I did a test shave and it was harsh. So i took the blade for a ride on the Coti with light slurry 15 laps, dilute 15 laps,dilute15 laps and then 10 laps on a damp stone, 10 crox 35 linnen 100 leather, and thats what im talking about, Shes talking to me now!!!! BBS BABY and smoooooth.
